I am a behavioral and systems neuroscientist, focusing on the neural network, circuits, synapses, and genes correlating to ingestive behavior mediated by internal states.

I graduated from college having majored in Bioengineering. I had been working as a technician for four years in Imaging Center at National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing, as well as investigating neural mechanisms of central control of glycemia levels in China. Then, I pursued my PhD degree in Neurosciencefrom the University

Then, I pursued my PhD degree in Neurosciencefrom the University of Bordeaux, France. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience (MPFI), US.

My Experience
My Experience
I use state-of-the-art in vivo imaging/electrophysiological recoding and ex vivo patch clamp techniques to interpret brain mechanisms underlying cognitive and instinct behaviors.
I am also an expert in programming single-board computer (e.g. Bpod and Arduino) for novel behavioral tasks, and data analysis by using Matlab.
My Goals

My Goals
My short-term goal is to decipher cortical mechanisms of ingestive behavior mediated by internal states. Currently, I am focusing on the insular cortex and medial prefrontal cortex in the control of feeding and drinking behavior.
My long-term goal is to understand how the brain integrates interoception, external sensations, and experience to trigger proper behavior.
